kruisdijk // kuilboer (nl)

ben kruisdijk and conny kuilboer started collaborating in 2007 during their stay as artist in residence at schloss ringenberg in germany.
their collaboration takes place parallel to their individual work and uses their different artistic visions building a bridge between them.

This bridge is the starting point for their collaborative work and allowes both artists to keep their own artistic visions without having to make compromises, resulting in work that would otherwise not have been made by them selves as individual artists.

their first collaboration was graduating from their post academic depression, known to many as the black hole.
the way kruisdijk / kuilboer mix fact and fiction has led them to use our individual works as material in their collaborations, at first by means of installations (which were composed in a collage like manner) and later as building blocks as can be seen on the work +51° 44' 30.70, +6° 36' 52.60
